We experimented with the use of handmade elements, resulting in this four-color screen print. The artwork started as a photo of the word “felt” cut out of paper and glued onto Richard’s hand. We digitally manipulated the photo, separated the image into process plates (cyan, magenta, yellow, black), halftoned it, then screen printed all four layers, resulting in the final product. For the print nerds, the registration was done by hand (no pins) and kept to within a thirty-second of an inch throughout the run.
